We thought we would follow up with a picture of the “Big” Shipwreck on Lana’i. This wreck is often referred to as a Liberty Ship.  It is actually a WW-II ferrous-concrete oiler ship, one of 22 made. These vessels were not given names just numbers and letters. This one is known as YOGN 42. It was purposely run aground on the reef as a means of disposing of the vessel.
